The Plot 09:07
Cowardice defines our age. we don't respond to injustice, we let it burn we give it our sense of worth In the presence of a God what can ants do but keep marching for their queen? How long would it take to dethrone God and set ourselves free and depend on ourselves? Interest remains fleeting as ignorance prevents change. When distractions take precedence over our reaction: We stand with our backs turned to bombing sites let children die on the other side of our eyelids. Keep running away from the reality of this situation. Nothing will change as long as we remain afraid to discuss How much power's in the hands of corrupt men with no morals whose decisions are driven only by their blinding need for more.

Resonate 03:36
Whispers echo off high ceilings reverberate across the lengths of rooms where sound swells to it's peak until the walls begin to sway. Ill intent, words with no meaning, work away at the foundation of the edifice to which we fled from man's reptilian brain. Worship all of the old figureheads but miss the point of what they said hide your fangs behind your smile's glare but behind our backs your teeth are bare. Lines start to fade between us and the ones that we hate Lines start to fade between us and the ones we escaped Safe place infiltrated by wolves circling around the edges of forests filled with trusting prey. When they kill one, the whole home dies.

Black fades into pale grey shouldered weight bends straight spines back castle walls yield faint remains every good thing leaves our plane Hold your grace above our heads while you wear ignorance as your crown you hide your shape behind death's shroud but no one could mistake your sound. Roar battle cries piercing the night blood covers sites of vengeance feel control slip through your hands as your held accountable for all the crimes you were acquitted of wherein the victim's voice belonged to you cast spells into your victim's weakness to play into their desire to please you. One day they'll loosen the rope you tied around their wrists take you by surprise as you lay fast asleep unbothered by the repercussions associated with grooming your own prey your eyes buldge wide as your windpipe gives way beneath the dissident's weight. Free yourselves, break the cycle that holds you in the role of the opressed: Don't welcome demons into your life . Sing grace unto yourselves embrace our imperfections learn to accept a life outside of lines drawn by our sick dark world
4.
Crooked Path 07:12
Forge your own crooked path Trust in yourself God was never above your head but staring back in your face in the mirror every day reality is what you make of it believe in yourself to provide because a higher power never will Forge your own crooked path through dark woods follow the sun that shines through tall trees trust your mind to be the God you never needed Forge your own crooked path You are your own god
5.
Calloused skin, broken bones Fighting for your home Protest laws that were set by white supremacists on the throne. In the streets, on the move racist minds aim to use your differences as fuel for a war machine while you still try to fix them. They'll let you talk while they pollute your dwellings and piss on the floor you clean on your hands and knees. Open your mind: These diseases won't stop just because you've hoped and you've hoped and you've hoped and you've prayed. (action speaks louder than words they long for your blood take the power away nip weeds in their bud pull their roots from your soil rid yourself of false gods) They are not victimized: they're using it as their disquise while they pull your strings that were placed By white supremacists who want blood volcanic rage boiling igniting streets into war pressure builds, overflows into homes dividing families. Take small minds and rip them apart in your hands Feel the hatred flow as you wring it from them. Open their minds? The only way is to crack their skulls They don't deserve their breath They waste it away. We are done responding to hatred. We won't allow your breath; We're not tolerant
6.
Music ringing loud and clear permeates and swallows all feel sick with anticipation pulsating through the skin of closed eyes Enveloped within cleansing fire burning black from rotten kindling pollution burns, smog fills the air no trace of man is left upon the Earth
7.
Why would we limit ourselves to old traditions Living a lie of practiced pain Forcing ourselves to give away Something inside that keeps us sane We are the ones that decide our fate Model the way, live with intention Keep weighing the cost of your decisions endeavor to build yourself up high Don't listen to anyone who tells you not to prioritize your mental health or makes you feel guilty about needing to take time and resources for self care. Protect your identity and disregard people who don't love you for what you are. Mental health isn't a luxury it's a necessity and it's something you should be thinking about. Anyone who tells you otherwise is dangerous.

ORATOR - BREAKING CYCLES OF VIOLENCE

Imagine a crack forming in the foundation of a large stone building. You can’t see the roof of the building from your place on the ground, and its long shadow chills you until you’re broken out in goosebumps.

You sit and you watch, as if in a timelapse, as the crack spreads upward onto the wall. It moves slowly at first, it may take months before the crack can even be considered noticeable, but once it starts to spread it is a fearsome sight. The blackness between one edge of the crack and the opposite gets wider with every passing day, and at the same time its steep crawl to the top seems to be getting easier and easier every day now.

How long until the crack reaches a window and lets the outside in? How long until the wall crumbles, the ceiling falls in, and the large stone building is reduced to a pile of rubble? How long will you sit and watch the crack spread until you realise the longer it goes on, the more irreversible the damage gets? How long afterward will you wonder what you could’ve done to stop the crack from spreading in the first place? And maybe most importantly of all, how do you rebuild something that won’t fall over next time once the inevitable finally happens?

BREAKING CYCLES OF VIOLENCE is Orator’s final record. It is the final (planned) release on Sonic Dust Records as well (we’ll see). The band’s untimely demise is marked by themes of manipulation that pierces through every aspect of the world around us today It’s about escaping from people, places, and policies that aim to control you against you and lobby for you to surrender your power over to them. It’s about not allowing distractions to pull you off of the path you choose for yourself in life.

While still dark in overall tone (duh), Orator’s last effort doesn’t reach beyond the real world and into a make believe one. It unfortunately doesn’t need to. Breaking Cycles of Violence is about real places that we have all become far too accustomed to in (not only) recent years, and about leaving them in our past forever. When it feels like there are thousands of things all around you fighting for your attention at all times, and your decisions start to feel like they have no weight, try to remember that there is always a way to slip out of the bonds that you perceive and to use your own power to protect others from falling into the same trap. Don’t allow your control to be taken away from you. Don’t welcome demons in your life.
