Cowardice defines our age.
we don't respond to injustice,
we let it burn
we give it our sense of worth
In the presence of a God
what can ants do
but keep marching
for their queen?
How long would
it take to
dethrone God
and set ourselves free and
depend on ourselves?
Interest remains fleeting
as ignorance prevents change.
When distractions take precedence
over our reaction:
We stand with our backs turned
to bombing sites
let children die
on the other side of our eyelids.
Keep
running away from the reality
of this situation.
Nothing will change as long as we
remain afraid to discuss
How much power's in the hands
of corrupt men with no morals
whose decisions are driven only by
their blinding need for more.
The Middle Eastern feel is much stronger on this album than on earlier releases and that is a great thing. Considering Hashisism began in the Middle East with Hassan I Sabbah, it's a good thing to hear a band embrace that sound in stoner/doom/psych setting. Pyraweed is quickly becoming one of my go to bands. Would love to have some vinyl from them. Mike Williams
Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
This band fucking slays. I CAN NOT WAIT to be back to rock shows so I can finally see these guys live. Even better I'd love to share a stage with this kick ass band. 2021 Year of the Cobra for sure.
