God was never above your head
but staring back in your face
in the mirror every day
reality is what you make of it
believe in yourself to provide because a higher power never will
Forge your own crooked path
through dark woods
follow the sun that shines through tall trees
trust your mind to be the God you never needed
Forge your own crooked path
You are your own god
The Middle Eastern feel is much stronger on this album than on earlier releases and that is a great thing. Considering Hashisism began in the Middle East with Hassan I Sabbah, it's a good thing to hear a band embrace that sound in stoner/doom/psych setting. Pyraweed is quickly becoming one of my go to bands. Would love to have some vinyl from them. Mike Williams
Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
This band fucking slays. I CAN NOT WAIT to be back to rock shows so I can finally see these guys live. Even better I'd love to share a stage with this kick ass band. 2021 Year of the Cobra for sure.

Seattle band Adzes craft sludgy dirges with elements of noise rock, post-metal and shoegaze, united by a staunch moral compass. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 3, 2020
