Whispers echo off high ceilings
reverberate across the lengths
of rooms where sound swells to it's peak
until the walls begin to sway.
Ill intent,
words with no meaning,
work away at the foundation
of the edifice to which we fled
from man's reptilian brain.
Worship all of the old figureheads
but miss the point of what they said
hide your fangs behind your smile's glare
but behind our backs your teeth are bare.
Lines start to fade
between us
and the ones that we hate
Lines start to fade
between us
and the ones we escaped
Safe place
infiltrated by
wolves circling around the edges
of forests filled with trusting prey.
The Middle Eastern feel is much stronger on this album than on earlier releases and that is a great thing. Considering Hashisism began in the Middle East with Hassan I Sabbah, it's a good thing to hear a band embrace that sound in stoner/doom/psych setting. Pyraweed is quickly becoming one of my go to bands. Would love to have some vinyl from them. Mike Williams
Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom.
In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
This band fucking slays. I CAN NOT WAIT to be back to rock shows so I can finally see these guys live. Even better I'd love to share a stage with this kick ass band. 2021 Year of the Cobra for sure.

Seattle band Adzes craft sludgy dirges with elements of noise rock, post-metal and shoegaze, united by a staunch moral compass. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 3, 2020
